Graduation Sunday
Kawaiahaʻo Church honored its graduates on Sunday, May 6, 2018, both whom are alumni of Kawaiahaʻo Church School and thanked the school for providing a strong educational foundation for their academic success. Danielle Seulyn Emi Au is graduating from University of Hawaii Manoa and Kekoa Morris will be graduating from Princeton University with a degree in Philosophy.
Danielle Seulyn Emi Au graduates from the University of Hawaii, Manoa, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Economics. She is an alumnus of Kawaiaha’o Church School, Mililani Uka Elementary, Mililani Middle and High School. In high school and college her main extra curricular activity was dedicated to helping others as part of the Kiwanis Family through various community service projects. She hopes to find a career that will employ her engineering and economics knowledge and skills to help others.
She said, “Going to Kawaiahao School instilled in me important core values of inclusiveness, teamwork and compassion. The teachers and staff taught me about the Hawaiian culture that I appreciate to this day. All the lessons I learned at Kawaiahao helped me have a solid foundation to become more creative and driven.”
